As a therapist, I feel the importance of having done and continue to do my own deep self-exploration in order to provide a greater understanding and capacity for others in their process of truth seeking. I have a deep intuitive sense and an ability to get to the heart of what holds people back. I show up with a rooted aliveness, meaning that I have a grounded, embodied and engaged approach to therapy. I'm not a therapist that sits back and analyzes; rather, I relate with you in a way that is supportive, challenging, caring, and discerning.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, certified group facilitator, and have been an adjunct professor teaching Group Dynamics and Facilitation at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). I have a Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and had previously been an intern at Holos Institute, a non profit, eco-psychology focused psychotherapy clinic. Additionally, I have worked for Coyote Coast and Vive Inc. as a mentor for teenagers and young adults as well as a family therapist. I have been the director of a therapeutic group home for transitional age youth, and I have years of experience with a variety of healing practices including vipassana meditation, group work, AEDP, shamanic journeying, and hakomi. Another passion of mine is facilitating vision quests, and as you can see after exploring this site, I have a deep love of nature and art, especially photography and poetry. |
